Banksia Park Primary School is a coeducational government primary school located in the metropolitan location of Banksia Park, South Australia. The school has a total enrolment of 205 students, 54% are boys and 46% are girls. The school caters for years R to grade 7.

Banksia Park Primary School opened in 1964 as separate primary (Years 3 to 7) and junior primary schools before amalgamating in 1994 to become an R to 7 school. The school is located within the Tea Tree Gully council area adjacent to the Banksia Park Family Kindergarten and within walking distance to Banksia Park International High School. The school is well-resourced and set in attractive, well-maintained grounds. There is a strong and ongoing focus on literacy and numeracy with successes reflected in both the national and local testing programs. In 2008 we embraced science as a curriculum focus. There is an emerging school and community ethos towards environmental sustainability with a proposed community garden as the central focus. Specialist subjects are German, the arts and a commitment to developing positive lifelong attitudes to PE. A regularly-reviewed student behaviour management policy, including a well-supported anti-bullying policy, provides a strong framework for student well-being. 'Program Achieves' and peer mediators have been operating since 2000. There is a positive student culture with leadership opportunities available for senior students.
